Radisson Blu Hotel Cairo Heliopolis appoints new general manager

UAE, June 2014

Carlson Rezidor, one of the largest hotel groups worldwide, has appointed Harald Buerkle as the new general manager for Radisson Blu Hotel Cairo Heliopolis.

Buerkle was previously based in Russia where he was the general manger during the pre-opening phases of the Radisson Rosa Khutor and the Park Inn by Radisson Rosa Khutor. He opened the Park Inn by Radisson to host the Alpine Ski World Cup and the Radisson Rosa Khutor to host the pre-Olympic test events and the Winter Olympics 2014.

With a strong background in food and drink Buerkle began his career as commis de cuisine working his way up to executive chef and director of operations before taking on his first general manager position at the Radisson Blu Resort Rügen, Germany.

Buerkle will now lead the team at the Radisson Blu Hotel Cairo Heliopolis to ensure revenue and guest satisfaction targets are met. He will focus particularly on the consistent operation of the hotel’s rooms, restaurants and meeting spaces maximizing opportunities to deliver profitable results.
